||Dan Rawson is traveling around the country to leave the past behind and find peace. He never expected to discover a reason to stay in any of the pleasant places he visited and then departed. But thanks to Cassie Shipley and her young son Julian, small, moss-draped Verona, Georgia is starting to look like a place where a man could settle down.....
I thoroughly enjoyed this short story...it was just long enough to pick up hints of the issues each of the characters faced and to give a glimmer of hope for a satisfying future ahead. Loved the writing, the description of the setting, and would like to get better acquainted with the characters. Maybe there's a longer piece about them in the future?
